# Evidence API > Evidence API helps financial research and market-intelligence software teams retrieve candidate charts, tables, and filing-derived visuals with source context for analyst and AI-assisted workflows. Coverage is selected, not comprehensive. Search uses deterministic text matching over the evidence index available to a workspace. Treat results as candidates: verify the original source, period, context, and rights before relying on or redistributing a visual. There is no generally available hosted agent endpoint or MCP connector today. The browser search sandbox is for evaluation; the CLI and HTTP API described below run with a local Evidence API workspace. ## Agent resources - [Agent integration guide](/agents.md): Current ways to evaluate and call Evidence API, including the local CLI and HTTP API. - [Technical documentation index](/docs/llms.txt): Plain-text quickstart, HTTP API details, and metadata notes. ## Product pages - [For research agents](/agents): How a retrieval call can fit into an analyst’s existing research product. - [Solutions hub](/solutions): Workflows Evidence API is evaluating. - [Financial research software page](/solutions/financial-research.md): Audience, workflow, available sources, and limitations in Markdown. - [Macro and policy research page](/solutions/macro-policy.md): Selected public-data sources and vintage limitations in Markdown. - [SEC filing evidence page](/solutions/sec-filings.md): Selected filing-derived visuals and limitations in Markdown. ## Evaluate - [Search sandbox](/playground): Try the browser search experience. - [Available corpora](/corpora): Review current source coverage. - [Pricing approach](/pricing): Free evaluation and quoted pilot approach. - [Request a pilot conversation](/pilot): Discuss a workflow and source-coverage fit.
